Sandblasting Machine

A sandblasting machine is a machine that blast abrasive materials at high speeds
to clean off rust and epoxies and paint. The machine uses high air pressure up
to 125 psi to run the machine. The abrasive is directed towards the product to be
cleaned with a blast nozzle. These nozzles are made from very hard dense  metals
or ceramics to handle the wear.A sandblasting machine uses sandblast hose to
carry the media to the sand blast nozzle. The sandblast hose hase a rubber liner
inside usually 5/16 inches thick to handle the abuse from the abrasive. Abrasives
range from sand to aluminum oxide, steel shot and grit, plastics, walnut shell,
coal slag(black beauty) and many other materials. Sand is very dangerous when not
using a respirator. Sand dust has silica in it and causes silicosis which is a
fatal lung disease. It would be wiser to stay away from any kind of sand.
